This new apprenticeship standard has been designed by employers, it can lead successful apprentices into a variety of fabrication and welding careers and progression into professional qualifications.

OVERVIEW

Whether you’re looking to recruit staff or support the growth of your current team, apprenticeships in Fabrication and Welding provide an affordable and reliable route to developing those in roles such as metal workers, pipe fitters and maintenance welding operatives.

LEVEL AND DURATION

This apprenticeship is taught at Level 2, over 12 months.

There will be a blended learning approach to the training provided during this programme.

LEVY SPEND APPROVED

Together Training apprenticeships are Levy spend approved for investment from your allocation.

QUALIFICATIONS GAINED

  • Level 2 Diploma in Fabrication and Welding

  • Level 2 Certificate in Engineering

  • Functional Skills in English and maths

MODULES OF STUDY

  • Interpreting and using engineering information

  • Applied electrical and mechanical science for engineering

  • Using computer aided drawing techniques in engineering

  • Using and interpreting engineering data and documentation
